Ford Ecosport (14 - Present)

Dubbed ‘a Fiesta on stilts’, the Ecosport is Ford’s latest entry to the compact SUV market. And with its quirky good looks, reliable chassis and that rugged effect given off by the spare wheel on the boot – it’s sure to be a massive hit amongst the ‘soft-roader’ loving Irish market. It offers all the comfort and style of an SUV, minus the high running costs and large price tag. Like the Fiesta that it is based on, it offers a fun and engaging drive and is available in a range of economic engine options. It also comes fully loaded with new technology; the fantastic Ford ‘SYNC’ system will also allow you to access apps on your smartphone via voice control, and all versions come with keyless entry and engine start as standard. verdict: Ford have ticked all the right boxes on this one.
